Cheddar Bacon Sliders
Sliders are a crowd-pleaser, and for good reason! What's not to love about a mini-burger? Up your slider game with our USDA Prime beef patties, heritage-bred bacon (because duh), fresh jalapeños and cheddar cheese for a perfect 3-bite snack.
Ingredients
2 packages of Meatworks USDA Prime burger patties
1 fresh jalapeño, adjusted to spice preference
1/2 yellow onion
6 slices of Meatworks bacon, cooked
4 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt, to taste
1 teaspoon pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
Slider buns
Instructions
1. Begin by breaking apart the Meatworks burger patties and placing them in a large mixing bowl.
2. In a food processor, combine the cooked bacon slices, jalapeño (you can use more for extra spiciness), yellow onion, and sharp cheddar cheese (cut into small cubes) until they are finely chopped.
3. Add the processed mix, the egg, and the spices (garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika) to the meat.
4. Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly until well combined. The mixture should be evenly distributed.
5. Start your grill and let it preheat to a medium-high heat.
6. Form the mixture into evenly sized balls and place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
7. Flatten each ball slightly to form slider-sized patties (put a dimple in the middle of the patty to help prevent the sliders from shrinking).
8. Grill the sliders on both sides until the meat is cooked to the desired temperature, recommended is 160F. Cooking times will vary depending on your grill and thickness of your patty.
9. Once cooked to your liking, place each slider on a warmed bun, cut in half. You can add your favorite condiments and toppings like lettuce, tomato, or mayonnaise.
